I added a game cheat button to the back of the cabinet, hit that during game play and the cheat menu pops up. I also just screwed the speakers into the side of the cabinet. They fit nicely next to the monitor.

I could not decide on a back panel, so I went with a piece of pegboard that I painted yellow. The extra ventilation should help, and it is definitely lighter than the MDF.
