Here is a shot of the wiring from inside the computer. I Gorilla Glued the CD drive to the subwoofer, and it's nice and easy to get access.

Off to the top right, I went ahead a bought a keyboard encoder. For the $30 it cost, I figured I would have spent at least a day trying to solder up a keyboard hack. Money well spent in my opinion.
